St Edward's provides a Christian centre for spiritual seekers from diverse
backgrounds, and fosters meditative Christianity, spiritual growth, and pastoral
care. We are committed to Christ and celebrate the glory of the Christian
tradition, but we try to be open to the Spirit of God everywhere, not only
in the Church but outside it.

Odysseys
The monthly Odyssey service (Sundays at 11.00 am) makes links between soul life and today's key issues. It is especially open and user-friendly for people who don't normally connect with church.
- July 5th: What Sort of World: The Recession and After: Malcolm Brown is Director of Mission and Public Affairs for the Church of England, and has written books on The Church and Economic Life, and After the Market. In this Odyssey talk, he will focus on what kind of world we want to build after the recession, and what kind of leadership Christians can offer in the present economic circumstances.
- Aug 2nd: Life and the World: Closed or Open? Timothy McDermott is a leading Catholic theologian, whose interests range from Aquinas to computer science. In this Odyssey sermon he will challenge the widespread assumption that we live in a closed world that can be 'reduced' to this or that, and which leaves no place for God. Instead he will argue for its openness and potential under God.
